The morning came and we qualified midfield, we were pleased with this although there was room for improvement. We all had a good race on the day with each holding our own and gaining valuable experience on the track and within the championship. Dan Gunfield started the race for team Roadrunner. Dan drove excellently and set the standard for the team to follow setting the teams fastest lap of the weekend. But with a communication problem he came in 2 laps early and surprised a half ready Lee . Lee had a lot to prove after Dan's stint but held his own to keep the team in contention. Paul was third into the seat. With a change of racing career for him from rally to track he has a lot to learn still but still held his own and improved on his time from the Saturday. Clint Bell took the final stint and with the tyres gone off he drove outstandingly. Finishing 6 th in the Clubmans we felt a little dishearten but this was our first race. |
